Q1 | Tell us about your career path.

Bigger is originally from Germany and has a background in Chinese studies and economics. After college he went to work in China where he was discovered by Andy Rubin, a successful brand builder in the sports fashion industry. While working with Rubin, Bigger developed his knowledge of brand building, management, and strategy. He then worked in business development for LS, where he was responsible for go-to-market strategy in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The CEO of an eCommerce company called Zalando then recruited him for business development. He moved to Manchester for two years and, while there, successfully worked for a number of brands.

Q2 | What advice would you like to share?

Since constructive criticism has played such a big part in his own career, Bigger advises people to be open to feedback, learning, and improvement. He also shared that hard work never goes unnoticed, and that developing an entrepreneurial spirit, especially in smaller businesses, is crucial for growth.

Q3 | What is your superpower?

Bigger explained that one of his superpowers is his constant enthusiasm. “I'm always quite high energy and that sort of lifts everyone else up, which is nice.” He added that his business superpower is having a keen eye for identifying trends and knowing where industries are headed.

Q4 | Tell us about MONPURE’s philanthropic efforts.

Philanthropic sustainability is a standard that modern premium brands should live by.

Bigger explained that MONPURE’s goal is to put “the planet and people before profit.” He explained that their investors keep them accountable for their sustainability. “Everything we [produce] is recycled cardboard, so printing is post consumer recycled plastic, not just recyclable plastic, which immediately makes the product 30 percent more expensive, but it is important to do.” He continued, “Everything is ethically sourced. We only work with really ethical businesses from Europe mainly and a couple in the U.S.''

Bigger made a point to highlight that MONPURE only partners with organizations that come with pure intentions, and listed a few charities that MONPURE supports. One, called The Little Princess Trust, donates human hair wigs to children who are experiencing cancer treatment. By partnering with organizations that serve the community and world, MONPURE’s goal is to have a wide positive impact.
