We connect brands with capable and compatible marketing agencies. We also connect fellow corporate marketing leaders, educational resources, potential job candidates, and much more. Setup is all about advocating for you - we’re here to help you assemble your team, strengthen your bench, align yourself for growth, and level up.

The idea behind Setup stemmed from the disconnect between the agency/client relationship. Agencies rely on referrals for new business, which is hard to scale. Clients rely on their limited personal networks or grueling RFP processes to find “reputable” agencies. The result, more often than not, is a less-than-ideal match.

Joe Koufman
Founder & CEO

Joe Koufman has always been a connector of people. In his 20+ years working in marketing and business development, he has built out a large, distinguished network of corporate and agency contacts.

Joe spent over six years as SVP of Marketing and Business Development at Engauge (now Moxie, part of Publicis), focusing on landing marquis clients such as Hershey's, Cisco Systems, AMC Theatres, Newell Rubbermaid, Chick-fil-A, and Turner Broadcasting. Soon after Engauge was acquired in 2013, Joe recognized a gap in the market that he was uniquely suited to help fill - helping brands and agencies connect with each other. He founded Setup in early 2014 to solve these problems.

Joe continues to give back to the marketing community by serving on the board of directors for various marketing organizations, including the American Marketing Association (AMA Atlanta), the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association (AIMA), and the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He also volunteers weekly at Everybody Wins! Atlanta, and is a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization Accelerator program.

Joe often jokes that he uses his Speech Communications major from Wake Forest University every day and his Politics major more frequently than he would like. 

When Joe isn’t working, he loves to discover new music (he hosts a weekly radio show at GumboShow.com) and spend time with his wife, Michelle, and twin children, Joss and Radley. He spends most weekends supporting his kids’ activities, playing tennis, and immersing himself in music.

 

 

Kate Jacoutot
Director of Marketing

Kate Jacoutot graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in 2015 with a degree in Digital Marketing and certificate in Music Business.

Shortly after college, Kate started her own marketing consultancy called Throne Marketing. Setup was one of her first clients, and she guided the company through immense periods of growth for two years until she transitioned into a full-time role with Setup in early 2018.

Kate’s ability to tackle and triumph over any challenge makes her a great asset to the Setup team. Her love for learning is apparent by the number of podcasts she listens to and the vast range of skill sets she has acquired over the years to fill the gaps in any role. Kate’s curiosity and need for understanding makes her a jack of all trades and a reliable leader.

Kate uses her extensive marketing knowledge and creativity to drive Setup's strategy. She is responsible for the design and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies, product design and promotion, as well as management of the marketing team.

Kate donates much of her spare time to various Atlanta nonprofits, including 48in48 and EverybodyWins! She is also an associate board member for the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association.

When Kate isn’t powering the Setup marketing strategy or volunteering for her favorite nonprofits, she can be found at a local comedy show, walking her dog through Atlanta’s Piedmont Park, or playing soccer.

 

 

Sam Moran
Director of Operations

Sam Moran has a knack for problem solving, strategic thinking, and creating processes that translate ideas into reality.

Sam graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in 2016 as an “Outstanding Senior Leader” with a degree Marketing and Management while also studying New Media, Entrepreneurship, and Personal & Organizational Leadership.

At UGA, Sam developed his marketing and business development skill set through the Digital Marketing Program, University Housing, UGA Homecoming, University Union, and Pandora Yearbook.

After interning with Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Paper Mate, and Prismacolor, Sam accepted a position as an Assistant Brand Manager for Newell Brands, where he managed part of the #1 car seat portfolio in the world for Graco Children’s Products.

Sam currently handles business, product, and process development at Setup. He also serves on the advisory board for the New Media Institute and the Pi Chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi. When he is not brainstorming fresh ideas or uncovering new opportunities, you can find him at a concert, a UGA football game, or basking in the sun on a kayak.

 

 

Zevi Solomon
Director of Strategic Partnerships

Zevi has a passion for sales, marketing, creativity, helping people solve their problems, and creating meaningful connections between people. He aligns his personal success with the success of his team and his clients. 

Prior to joining Setup, Zevi worked with marketing agencies in Atlanta to help build successful and relationship-centric outbound sales programs. With his extensive experience in the agency world, he’s armed with a first-hand understanding of the challenges that Setup solves for agencies: business development.

Outside of work, Zevi enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring the local Atlanta art scene, going to concerts, and playing guitar in his band, Bexley. 

Zevi holds a bachelor’s degree in history and marketing from Washington University in St. Louis.

 

 

Madeline Evans
Social Media and Content Manager

Madeline joined the Setup team shortly after graduating from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia with a dual major in Digital Marketing and Management.

Madeline thrives when connecting with other people - that’s why Setup is a perfect fit. Madeline manages, markets, and performs with a local Atlanta improv team, Six Kids Improv. Her love for sharing a brand’s personality through social media, using humor to find her voice and relate to the public, and forming relationships with teammates, partners, and people is what led her to pursue a career in marketing.

When Madeline is not working or performing, she devotes her life to positively impacting others by volunteering with the teens at her church and coaching recreational sports leagues to help the development of young people in the community.

Madeline handles Setup’s blog, video content, and social media marketing strategy at Setup. Her innovativeness, compassion for others, and unique approach have been an excellent addition to the team.

 

 

Kayla Floyd
Design Coordinator

Kayla Floyd received a degree in digital marketing from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, in December, 2016. We first noticed Kayla when she took part in UGA’s Digital Marketing Competition, where she and her teammates pitched the winning idea to Coca-Cola Freestyle, showing us that her strengths lie in her positive attitude and innovative thinking. Her aptitude in working with people combined with a knack for staying on top of her work and keeping things organized makes her a prime candidate for a future account management role at a marketing agency. Ultimately, Kayla wants to leverage the power of marketing to create a positive impact on society.

Kayla gives back to her community by utilizing her organizational skill set to assist in planning events. She was a member of the “Around Atlanta” board for Spotlight Events at Georgia State and served as the Director of External Relations for the UGA chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA).

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys traveling, exercise, and volunteering with children. Kayla can be found exploring new restaurants and nightlife in Atlanta, hanging out with her friends and family, drinking excessive amounts of coffee, and enjoying music and pop culture.

 

 

Meghan Hilton
Intern

Meghan Hilton brings the right balance of creativity and process to the Setup team. Following her May 2019 graduation from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, she joined our team as a summer intern, where she currently assists the marketing and sales teams in driving our strategy forward.

Meghan first connected with Setup through her participation in UGA’s digital marketing competition, where she was on Joe Koufman’s top team. Through this competition, she crafted an entire digital marketing campaign for the College Football Hall of Fame.

Aside from the Digital Marketing Competition, Meghan brings additional marketing experience to the table through her previous roles with CSePub and the Georgia Museum of Art.

Both academically and professionally, Meghan is known for her consistency, reliability, and for her natural leadership acumen. She truly embodies the values of Setup, making her a vital asset to our team.

When she’s not at work, you can find Meghan exploring new restaurants, volunteering with children, cheering on the Atlanta Falcons, or tinkering with the latest tech gadget.


 

Tiffany Ujjin
Intern

Exuberant, diligent, and passionate are a few words that describe Tiffany Ujjin.

Tiffany’s marketing career began in her hometown of Augusta, GA, where she worked as the social media manager and product photographer for a local boutique called The Swank Company. During her time at Swank, Tiffany played a critical role in driving brand awareness through social media, enabling the business to expand into new stores and markets.

Tiffany first connected with Setup when Joe Koufman mentored her team during UGA’s Digital Marketing Competition. Through this competition, Tiffany’s team crafted an entire digital marketing campaign for the College Football Hall of Fame.

When she’s not at work, Tiffany spends her time on the lake, going to local events and festivals, and talking about her dog (she does that one at work too!). She is passionate about military-related charities, pasta, and skiing.

Tiffany takes pride in her ability to leave her mark on whatever she’s involved in, and she hopes to make a lasting impact on the Setup team this summer.
