Director of Business Development

Setup is seeking a full-time Director of Business Development (reporting to the SVP of Growth), who will be responsible for communicating with brand-side marketers. This position is a little different than a pure sales role in that you will be in charge of building relationships with brand-side marketing leaders to help connect them with well-vetted marketing agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about the Setup model, services, and agency network

  • Represent Setup in outreach to potential clients who are looking for agency support

  • Attend industry events (both in Atlanta and in other cities) such as trade shows and conferences. Up to 25% travel is required in this role.

  • Compose personalized outreach communication to prospects

  • Identify new strategies to connect with marketers

  • Carefully curate and document communications in CRM/marketing automation

  • Manage and mentor the Business Development team

  • Stay up to date on the latest marketing industry news and events

Requirements

  • 5+ years in business development, sales, or account services role

  • Process-focused with strong organization skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail - especially with regards to written and verbal communication

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who is curious and persistent

  • Team player with a positive attitude

  • Comfort with digital tools such as CRM, marketing automation, G-Suite, and analytics

  • 40+ hours a week (flexible start time)

  • Preferred, but not required:

    • Located in Atlanta (also open to remote)

    • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record (3.0 GPA and above preferred)

    • Agency-side or brand-side marketing experience

    • Experience scaling new business efforts

    • Hubspot or other CRM experience
