Trending Topics

AI an Enhancement, Not a Threat

In Ad Age’s new report on AI, 91% of marketers are using AI in their jobs, viewing it as an enhancer as opposed to a threat. 9 in 10 marketers are concerned that they’ll have to learn AI to maintain their value as a marketer. It’s time to start learning!

Apple Is Now Gender-Equal

As of this month, Apple is the only large tech company that has an even split of male and female individuals on their board of directors. This is a big and exciting change, as the brand previously had twice as many men as women on the board.

No Pricey Frosty

The internet blew up last week with backlash towards Wendy’s as the CEO announced they would be testing dynamic pricing, which he quickly clarified would only test discounts and not price increases. Surge pricing may work for Uber, but not in the restaurant industry.

New + Noteworthy

Instagram Friend Map

For marketers with physical locations, keep an eye on Instagram’s new Friend Map feature. The map allows you to see friend’s locations and access all posts and stories as well. With Snapchat’s Map now offering business listings, Instagram will likely quickly add this feature as well.

Ad Of The Week

Hyundai’s new commercial featuring the 2024 Santa Fe release makes a Viking family’s fantasy dream come true. The ad was broadcast at Sunday’s NFL conference championship, showing how the vehicle lets people unleash their inner warrior. The Super Bowl had an absence of car brands, so Hyundai definitely got ahead of the game with this event.
