What gap in the market led to the creation of your agency?

Bob Morrison founded this agency in 1986, not because of a gap in the market, but because he saw a real opportunity to add value to brands based on his experience. Advertising was very different in the 80s, and this agency has continued to evolve as trends and communication channels emerge so that we are still able to add value to our clients today.

What differentiates your agency from others?

I've been at Morrison for 23 years, so I haven't spent time in other agencies since my early days, but from what I'm told by our clients, Morrison acts as a true extension of each of our client's marketing departments. We thrive when we understand the problem at hand and aren't treated like a vendor. Also, each of our discipline leaders is the best at their craft, so I always feel we are delivering the very best advice or work product.

Are any of your personal values incorporated into the agency?

Yes! We always tell prospects what our philosophy is during a pitch process, and this philosophy aligns with my personal values.

Our clients hire us to do great work. And it is also our responsibility to be good people by demonstrating total honesty, transparency, and kindness; going the extra mile; and having extreme empathy. These are my personal values, too.

Do you have any advice for marketers?

This is a good question. My advice as it relates to working with agencies is to provide as much context as possible about your business and even your personal stresses and goals. If you can tell us what keeps you up at night -- whatever it is -- we can be a sounding board, problem-solver, and share your stress.
