Marketers Toolbox: ZoomInfo

Note: The Marketers Toolbox series teaches our readers about new technology we're using (or experimenting with) that proves to be useful, productive, or just plain entertaining. As a marketer's secret weapon, Setup believes that the tools we use are vital to our success, thus, a marketer's toolbox is truly one of our most important resources.

Setup uses several fantastic tools to build lists, one of which is ZoomInfo. While this can be used as more of an integrative sales tool, we predominantly use it as a search engine to find accurate contact information for new business prospects.

Creating a Community Edition (read: free) account requires integration with your email provider so that you give as much as you get. Our subscription provides us with 100 free contacts monthly, and in exchange, ZoomInfo scrubs our contacts to provide for others who are doing the same. Sharing is caring!

ZoomInfo aggregates all unlocked contacts into one long list that can be exported and uploaded to your marketing automation or CRM/sales platform.

Additional features include an insight tool that analyzes trends within their database, and an enhance tool that lets users upload their own database or individual contact lists to supplement missing information or update any email addresses, phone numbers, titles, or any other inaccuracies.

ZoomInfo also provides data integrations like a Salesforce.com plugin and a Google Chrome extension called ReachOut that pulls data from prospects' LinkedIn accounts, much like our other favorite information agent, Crystal (we'll discuss this one soon).
